Erica Tisinger grew up on the coast of North Carolina and is a partner at Greer Tisinger, LLC. Erica attended the University of North Carolina and graduated with a BA in American History, with a concentration in Peace, War & Defense. Immediately following, Erica continued her studies at Mercer University at the Walter F. George School of Law.
After law school, Erica held a judicial clerkship in the State Court of Hall County for the Honorable Judges Charles S. Wynne and B. E. Roberts, III. During this time, Erica was afforded the opportunity to assist the Judges on written orders, motion hearings, and bench and jury trials. She then moved to Tennessee where she served as an administrative law judge on the TennCare disenrollment appeals deciding whether each appellee should continue their TennCare (State of Tennessee funded health care) coverage under the new areas of coverage. Thereafter, Erica continued in Tennessee as in-house defense counsel for an international insurance company where she exclusively represented insureds in all phases of claims and litigation, including personal injury, commercial liability, and product liability. This experience allowed her to gain valuable knowledge of how insurance claims are evaluated at the litigation stage. Erica tried several jury trials and approximately 100 bench trials and argued before the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
Erica is licensed in Tennessee and Georgia, and her practice focuses in Georgia on domestic relations (including divorce, child support, custody and visitation, legitimation, adoption, and juvenile court issues), probate matters (including probate litigation, wills and estates, and guardianship / conservatorship), personal injury, and general civil litigation.
Erica and her husband live in Carrollton, Georgia, with their two children. The family is a member of Carrollton First Baptist Church, where Erica serves as a Deacon, serves as a lay reader, teaches Sunday School, and is a member of the children’s ministry team.
